Born and raised in a small greek village in the west coast, next to Acheloos river -well known from the ancient mythology-, a forest of specific fraxinus (ash tree) and vineyards. Until the age of 18, Angelos Sotiriou was apprenticed to local painters, architects and artists after school. After the national exams, he is studying architecture in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is directing for the 4th consecutive years the Thernon short film festival in Lesini and Ithaca island. He traveled and lived in rural areas in Ghana, Cambodia and Sardinia. “Master” in wine tasting, loves jazz, swing music and always willing to dance.
Angelos Sotiriou is studying at the Siena Art Institute for the Spring 2020 semester thanks to a special scholarship organized in collaboration with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
