Bio statement:
My name is Antonis Douroudis and I’m studying architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). As an architecture student in Thessaloniki, I’ve had the chance to come in touch with many other related fields such as visual and conceptual art, philosophy and critical thinking. My main interests concern the public sphere; how people come together, communicate, and create relationships. How the public space (physical or virtual) creates opportunities or exclusions, and to what extend non-normative identities and relationships can be performed. Through my practice I want to address such things, using as many tools as possible. Designing for the people, doing academic research concerning the community, expressing more complex situations through my art. I’m also excited about meeting new places, neither as a tourist nor as a local, but in that really fascinating role of the visitor.
