Lombardi Arte exhibition: Angerami

Looking forward to Thursday’s opening at @lombardiartegallery_siena with one of our current residents ANGERAMI] !

ANGERAMI] is a visual artist and educator based in Sao Paolo Brazil. His work is divided between the studio and outdoor activities, often with local and indigenous Brazilian communities. He understands art and education as agents of transformation in the same continuous process within society. Angerami uses drawing, painting, sculpture-installation, printmaking, video, photography and urban interventions to support his research.

His works are present in permanent collections of international institutions, such as, among others, the Kyoto International Printmaking Association in Japan. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Brazil and around the world.

Angerami earned his Master in Fine Arts at New York University, and previously received his BFA and Visual Arts Teaching License in Brazil from the Faculdade de Belas Artes de Sao Paulo.

Spring Show 2022 images

A collection of images from our Spring Show 2022 opening, held on Saturday April 23, featuring the work carried out by the artists of the Siena Art Institute and by the students of the Siena School for Liberal Arts during their semester of residence in Siena.
The event was enriched by the open studio of artists-in-residence Mo Abd-Ulla from Iraq and Angerami from Brazil, and the public was able to explore their workspaces and view their work in progress.

During the Spring Show 2022 April 23rd 2022, the results were presented of the EU Project  CErTiFY , promoted by the Loughborough University in partnership with the Siena Art Institute and other European partners funded by the EU’s Erasmus + program. Our other partners include Atit Bvba (Belgium), De Montfort University (UK), Spes GMBH (Austria), Istituto Luigi Sturzo (Italy), Research Paths Etaireia Ereynas (Greece) and VSL “Lyderystes ir verslo akademija” (Lithuania).

The CErTiFY project seeks to help individuals wanting to work in the cultural and creative sectors through Digital Storytelling; after more than two years of work an online course we have created a card game and a series of manuals (accessible at this link).

Spring Show 2022

SPRING SHOW 2022
On Saturday April 23rd 2022 from 17.30 to 19.30 in Via E. S. Piccolomini 2, the exhibition will be held of the work carried out by the artists of the Siena Art Institute and by the students of the Siena School for Liberal Arts during their semester of residence in Siena.

19 April Kirikuci Presentation

(Testo in italiano sotto) The KIRIKUCI organization will be the guest of an exclusively face-to-face meeting on Tuesday 19 April at 6.30 pm!

KIRIKUCI is a collective of people from all over the world, united by the passion for tailoring, the desire to create together and build sustainable economic alternatives. The members of Kirikuci systematize their imagery to give life to fabrics and clothing with a distinctly cosmopolitan style, strongly centered on each of the traditions that its creators carry with them.

Kirikuci will collaborate with the Siena Art Institute for the realization of a series of workshops dedicated to tailoring (by Kirikuci), goldsmith craftsmanship (by SART), painting on fabrics (by SART), free for high school students and students of UniSI & UniStraSI. The workshops are part of the 3C project: Skills, Creativity, Care promoted by the Siena Art Institute for the Siena Community Hub.

I membri di Kirikuci mettono a sistema il loro immaginario per dare vita a stoffe e capi di abbigliamento dallo stile spiccatamente cosmopolita, fortemente incentrato su ognuna delle tradizioni che i suoi creatori si portano dietro.Kirikuci collaborerà con il Siena Art Instituteper la realizzazione di una serie di laboratori dedicati a sartoria (a cura di Kirikuci), artigianato orafo (a cura di SART), dipingere sui tessuti (a cura di SART), gratuiti per gli studenti di superiori e università. I laboratori rientrano nel progetto 3C: Capacità, Creatività, Cura promosso dal Siena Art Institute per il Community Hub di Siena.

Brazilian resident artist, Evandro Angerami

Brazilian painter Evandro Angerami is in residence at the Siena Art Institute for the month of April. He has been hard at work in his studio as well as exploring his newfound surroundings in #Siena. Here he is in front of the Facciatone and the Cathedral Museum!

Evandro Angerami is based in Sao Paolo and has an MFA from NYU. He has participated in numerous international exhibitions, with his works held in many permament collections.
