TWO LATE : Giacomo Casprini @BarIlPalio 16 Oct
(ENGLISH TEXT BELOW)
====================
This evening, Oct 16 at 7.00 pm, join us at the Bar Il Palio (Piazza del Campo) for the first appointment of TWO LATE, the program of three artistic incursions into the margins of the city of Siena.
In two days of workshops, three artists will confront and open a dialogue with many local communities. Three months for artists and host communities to produce six art projects that will be presented in 2020: works that are just 20 cm in size to be exhibited at the historic Bar Il Palio, with the possibility of including alongside those of the community. A constantly growing collection of artworks that over time will create an archive of memories, which can be viewed daily.
This project is carried out by the Siena Art Institute as part of the “Racconti dal Margine” project in the context of the Toscanaincontemporanea 2019 call with the contribution of the Tuscany Region and GiovaniSì. We would like to thank Bar Il Palio and Villa Il Borghetto for their collaboration.
The first TWO LATE artist is Giacomo Casprini who will work with the Siena Prison (Piazza S. Spirito 3)
BIO: Giacomo Casprini was born in Montevarchi in 1980, he studied between Florence and Arezzo moving especially in the disciplines ranging from painting to sculpture, also passionate about other media such as photography and installation, trying to move towards new and surprising everyday realities by relating signs and colors in very large works. From his works one can draw delicate vibrations, like the sounds of a musical piece, a sort of abstraction that wants to leave the maximum freedom of interpretation to the observer.
